We collect and process personal and medical data that are made available to us voluntarily via our online platforms and services (e.g. the website, registration forms), by e-mail, in person or by referrers. The data processors and their assistants process all data in strict confidence. To provide our services and comply with statutory requirements, it may be necessary for us to disclose personal data to the following categories of recipients: midwives, doctors, other medical experts and service providers participating in the treatment who are making referrals or performing treatment. Insurance companies, external service providers (e.g. laboratories, pharmacists, ICT service providers), authorities, administrative bodies, legal representatives, courts, relatives (provided that you do not object to this).

Collection of general information

If you access our website, information of a general nature will automatically be collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser and operating system you are using and the domain name of your Internet service provider. None of this information can be used to identify you personally. The information is a technical requirement in order to deliver content of websites that you have requested to access correctly; its collection is compulsory when you are using the Internet. We perform statistical analyses of anonymous information of this kind in order to optimise our website and technology underlying it.

Encryption

We use state-of-the-art encryption processes (such as SSL) to ensure the security of your data during transmission. You can recognise the encryption from the letters https: and the closed padlock symbol in your browser’s status bar.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use cookies. Cookies are small text files that are transferred to your hard drive from a website server. As a result, we automatically receive certain data, such as your IP address, the browser and operating system you are using, and your Internet connection. Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. Using the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation of our websites easier for you and enable them to be displayed correctly. Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are generally set up to accept cookies. In general, however, you can deactivate the use of cookies in your browser settings at any time. Please use the help functions in your browser to find out how to change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you deactivate the use of cookies.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies – text files that are saved on your computer and enable analysis of your use of the website. The information that the cookie generates about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, compile reports on website activities for the website operators and provide further services related to website and Internet usage. Google may also forward this information to third parties if this is prescribed by law or if third parties are processing the data on behalf of Google. Google will not link your IP address to other Google data under any circumstances. You can prevent cookies from being installed in your browser settings. If you do so, however, you may not be able to make full use of all of this website’s functions. By using this website, you agree that Google will process the data it collects about you in the manner described and for the purpose stated above.

Google Retargeting

This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. (“Google”). The purpose of this function is to present visitors to the website with advertisements tailored to their interests as part of the Google advertising network. The website visitor’s browser saves cookies – text files that are stored on your computer and which make it possible to recognise the visitor when he or she accesses websites that belong to Google’s advertising network. On these pages, advertisements can then be presented to the visitor that are related to content which the visitor previously accessed on websites that use Google’s remarketing function. According to Google, no personal data is collected in this process. If you do not wish to use the Google remarketing function, you can deactivate it by changing the settings under https://adssettings.google.com/ accordingly.

Storage

Data will be retained for as long as is necessary according to the applicable legal obligations (e.g. duty of documentation/retention period).

Your data protection rights

You are entitled to assert your data protection rights. In particular, you may request information about your data that we have saved or ask for it to be corrected, added to or deleted or object to its processing, provided that there are no legal obligations which prevent us from complying with your request.

Changes

We may change this data protection statement at any time without prior announcement. The most recent version published on our website shall apply. We therefore recommend that you re-read it from time to time.
