Spending the postnatal period at the birthing centre
Geburtshaus Zürcher Oberland welcomes all mothers and babies who would like to spend the postnatal period here, regardless of whether you have opted to give birth at the birthing centre or only want to come here afterwards. The main purpose of the postnatal period is to recover, take your first steps in your new family life and spend valuable time alone with your child and partner.
Our cosily furnished family rooms provide you and your partner with a home from home for the time after the birth – a place where you can concentrate on your newborn baby and thus strengthen the bond between yourselves and your child even further. During your stay, we will treat you and your family to a variety of delicious meals made exclusively from organic, regional produce. In the process, we also focus on your body’s special requirements after the birth.
Our other rooms, which are designed to meet the special needs of families after childbirth and can be used by everyone, will also be available to you.
The “family nest” is our bright top-floor apartment with two balconies. It is ideal for enjoying family breakfasts, chatting to other families or simply enjoying a bit of me-time with beautiful views of the countryside. In our dining room or day room, you will always find an opportunity to chat to or seek advice from other mothers. There is also a play area with a range of books and toys for children of all ages and a lovely garden seating area.
