The birth
A special event
Childbirth is a special event in a woman’s life. It is also one that many women feel apprehensive about. Drawing on their many years of experience, our midwives prepare you sensitively and tactfully for this experience and support you throughout the birth, enabling you to feel safe and well-looked-after.
At the birthing centre, we offer you continuous care by a midwife, who is there specifically for you. We call this one-to-one care. In this way, we create the necessary conditions to ensure undisturbed, safe childbirth. Your safety and the safety of your child are our number-one priority.
We view pregnancy, natural birth and the postnatal period as healthy natural processes. You can also rely on the fact that we will respond to your psychological, physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We do this on the basis of our specialist midwife training, which incorporates both the latest midwifery and medical knowledge and traditional healing methods. This holistic perspective enables us to provide you with care that is both empathetic and based on partnership, and will strengthen you and your partner at all levels in a lasting way as you embark on your new life as a family.
Safety for you and your baby
It is scientifically proven that in healthy pregnant women, the only requirement to make the birth as safe as possible and minimise the risk of complications is to respect the natural, physiological birth process. Interventions are only required when there is a clear medical indication for them.
Your safety and the safety of your baby are our number-one priority. For that reason, our midwives are trained in recognising risks that arise during childbirth quickly. You and your partner can rely on the fact that we will obtain medical advice straight away in the event of any irregularities and will initiate an immediate transfer to one of our partner hospitals GZO Spital Wetzikon (only 7 minutes away by car) or KSW Kantonsspital Winterthur.
